Meet the Principal
Meet Principal Teni Clark-Franklin
Welcome to the Home of the Phoenix! I am honored to serve and eager to employ my skills, experience, and education as the Principal of Pontiac High School. Please allow me to introduce myself and share a little about me. I am Mrs. Teni’ L. Clark Franklin. I began teaching in 1996 and joined The School District for the City of Pontiac family in 1998. Throughout my tenure, I have served in the capacity of Teacher of Students with Emotional Impairments, Special Education Department Head, School Counselor, Counseling Department Head, PLAN, ACT, PSAT, PSAT-MNSQT, SAT, WorkKeys & ASVAB Test Coordinator, Coordinator of Adult Education, and Assistant Principal.
I have obtained a BS in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University, an MA in Community and School Counseling from the University of Detroit Mercy, an MAEd in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, and I am currently a doctoral candidate at Capella University in Special Education Leadership. Given my background in urban leadership, teaching, and counseling at the secondary level, I am eager to leverage this experience to drive positive and effective change in public education. I firmly believe that all students can learn and succeed. With your support, I am committed to creating a college and career-ready environment at Pontiac High School. My goal is to ensure that every student who completes four consecutive years at the PHS will develop a post-secondary plan, earn a high school diploma, and obtain an industry certification.
We expect students to practice the 5 P’s of Pontiac success:
Be Prompt
Be Polite
Be Positive
Be Prepared
Be Productive
Meet The Assistant Principal | Joe Auricchio
Hello, my name is Mr. Joe Auricchio and I am the Assistant Principal at Pontiac High School. After graduating from High School I entered the Army and served 6 years as a combat engineer. Several years after leaving the Army I returned to school to become a teacher. My first teaching position was with the Pontiac School District as a Social Studies and English teacher. After 13 years as a teacher, I was excited to join the PHS Administration Team as an Assistant Principal. My goal is to help students reach their potential and prepare them so they can achieve success as adults after graduation.
