Meet the Principal

Montgomery

Hello Phoenix Nation! I am Mr. Lee Montgomery Jr., the Principal at Pontiac High School. I am a proud graduate of an HBCU, Jackson State University. Upon graduation I was fortunate to be able to travel overseas and play professional basketball for seven years. When I returned to the United States I began my career in education as a Business Teacher at Cherry Hill School of Performing Arts/Academy of Inkster. Two years later I also became the Athletic Director. I joined the Pontiac Family in 2012 as the PMS Assistant Principal and beame Athletic Director for the district in 2013. I am proud to now serve as an administrator at Pontiac High. My goal as a leader at Pontiac High School is to make sure that I'm effective everyday, I grace the presence of my students, teachers, and colleagues. The goal is to create productive citizens that can go on to do some amazing things in this world. The greatest leaders have chosen to sacrifice and fight for the common goal.

Auricchio

Hello, my name is Mr. Joe Auricchio and I am the Assistant Principal at Pontiac High School. After graduating from High School I entered the Army and served 6 years as a combat engineer. Several years after leaving the Army I returned to school to become a teacher. My first teaching position was with the Pontiac School District as a Social Studies and English teacher. After 13 years as a teacher, I was excited to join the PHS Administration Team as an Assistant Principal. My goal is to help students reach their potential and prepare them so they can achieve success as adults after graduation.
